It can be hard to recognize or accept when your home life is unsafe or unhealthy, as acts of domestic violence range widely in severity and frequency. There are many available resources and advocacy groups who can help you determine and implement a plan of action is right for you or someone you know to reach comfort and security.

- Over half of Americans age 15 and older know a victim of domestic violence. Despite this, 67% have never spoken with friends about domestic violence.
- Individuals who witnessed Intimate Partner Violence as children are 2x more likely to become either victims or perpetrators of IPV.
- Having conversations within our communities about the effects of domestic violence is an important step in stopping it.
